Sickness

Andrew started having a fever Thursday night. It was pretty low grade so I didn't worry about it. He also had a cough. I sent him to school Friday since his temperature was back to normal. Friday afternoon, he ended up getting sick and needing to leave school early. By Friday night his fever was pretty high. He slept in my bed Friday night and Saturday morning his temperature was 103. I was getting nervous that he had pneumonia so I took him to the pediatrician on Saturday. She heard some wheezing in his chest; it was not pneumonia though. She said he had a virus but was nervous that it was kicking him into having asthma, since there is a family history of it. Andrew ended up getting an inhaler, which he thinks is the coolest thing ever. The pediatrician thinks that the inhaler might help calm down his coughing fits. I just hope that he doesn't end up having asthma. It is miserable to be unable to breath. Andrew continued to run a fever until Sunday. I kept him home on Monday and sent him to school today. I hope he is on the mend and feels better. He missed his first baseball game of the season because he was sick.
