This Christmas was quite unusual. We have gotten so much snow and ice for Portland that every road is requiring chains to drive. Even the freeways are treacherous--a mix of bad driving in this kind of weather with poor snow and ice removal systems. We just aren't ready for this type of situation. Anyway, we were looking for a break in the weather so that we could go up to the in-laws for Christmas eve. We left Wed. morning with enough clothes for two days. We stayed till Friday. The kids had a blast. We had our big meal on Christmas Eve. We exchanged our Christmas Eve gifts, played the traditional Right/Left game, read the Nativity story, watched a Nativity video and had lots of fun. The kids put on their new Christmas pajamas and went off to bed. We woke up relatively early on Christmas morning and opened our stockings and our presents. We were actually pretty orderly in the manner in which we opened presents. We began with the youngest and went to the oldest, one at a time and continued rotating through till everything was opened. The kids loved their presents. Kevin, Marily, Norm and I went snowshoeing after opening presents. Kevin and I tried running in snowshoes--pretty difficult. We were desperate to get out and run. I recommend it as a very good workout. Some people went to a movie, others stayed home and played Guitar Hero. It was a wonderful holiday and everyone had a good time.

What a fun holiday! Love all the pics. My blog updater is not updating your blog for me the way it should, so I am finding all these entries. Yeah, it's like a nice treat.
Your kids are so cute! Glad you had a great Christmas! I LOVE snowshoeing! I can't believe you tried to run in them! :)
