I chaperoned the trip to the zoo with Andrew's class. Actually, it was all the first and second grade classes that went. I was assigned to Andrew, Eli, Savanna, and Kristen. They were a pretty good group. They stayed together well. They didn't fight with one another and generally got along. We were free to roam around the zoo to whatever we wanted to see. I think we got around to all of the exhibits. One highlight was at Lorikeet Landing. I had bought a cup of nectar for the kids to take turns feeding to the birds. Andrew took the first turn. He was so scared when the birds were dive bombing him that he dropped the nectar and no one else got a chance to feed them. Like mother like son. I hate birds. They scare me to death. Anyway, we got some great pictures of the kids and nobody was the worse for wear. In fact, I am still going to continue to volunteer for field trips because I enjoy being involved in the school.

Tyra, the picture of you with all the kids, looks like you have four kids!!! Love it. How awesome to be able to feed the birds the nectar. Have you seen the Alfred Hitchcock movie: "the birds"? I probably wouldn't suggest it to you, then you would be REALLY freaked out by birds. I miss you girl!!!
You are the total hot Mom helper!
I never knew you hated birds! Cute pics of you and your group!
So glad you stopped by my blog. The world really is a small place. It's crazy that my brother's back in NJ for a year, with many of our old ward members. You have a beautiful family. It's cool you got to go on your kid's class trip. That's something I'm looking forward to doing once my twins are in school.
Oh, and Tina is living in Boston. She got married about 5 years ago and has a 2-year-old named Lydia. She had her own bankruptcy law firm for several years and now stays home with her daughter. She actually came at the very end of our stay back east, but I had gotten very lazy with my camera by then (I'll have to ask my dad for some pics). Laura is living in Poland. Her husband is working in the foreign service. She has 3 boys aged 7 to 13. How about your fam? Is anyone still back east or has everyone spread out?
